These LED arrays are designed to fit into the spokes of your bike and look cool when you ride. Of course, they could be put into all sorts of moving things.
Too bad they are so expensive.

Here's a cool page that a fellow from the Artists' Republic of Fremont put together about driving from Seattle to the playa.
He proposes several alternate routes, but the Hot Springs route seems the most interesting.

The number one project for me this year is the construction of a twenty foot, two-frequency geodesic dome. We have a fifteen foot done, and it is nice, but the construction is a bit rough, and the 20' would fit our parachute perfectly.
The previous dome was based on Mike Gourlay's calculations.
This tool abstracts those and spits out all the numbers

This design seems pretty easy to fabricate. I count nine welds on that thing, and its possible the rear ones could be done with bolts.
The real trick, I think, would be tracking down the dead bikes for parts. I wish that the Black Cat Cafe's stash of dead bikes was still handy.
I am told that there is a junkyard someplace in Tacoma that might suit.

We have made arrangements to rent a FunMover! Pea and I will have the back-end to ourselves, and we can stretch out our air mattress and all our stuff inside. It will be cool inside, and hopefully dust-free.

It seems like it would be cool to make a remote-controlled flamethrower.
I saw one that had two cannisters, one filled with compressed air, the other with fuel. A solenoid valve lets the air pass out, and it draws up the fuel. A propane torch or a piezoelectric sparket would serve as igniter. Fun!

Okay, I am going to start using this blog to docment all the crazy ideas I get into my head for Burning Man.
That said, the first one is Circoflex Kites which look really cool. I want to make a ten-meter one!
